Rattle at 150096CivicEX06 08-17-2004, 11:19 PM I don't know if this is a common problem, or even a problem at all but I've noticed that a rattling sound occurs when the transmission goes to 1500 RPMS. It seems like it's not in the engine, but more near the transmission/back of the car. What's causing it? exman98 08-17-2004, 11:43 PM check your exost and your cataletic converter i know my cover came loose and it mad ratalling.so just check for some loose bolts-covers-pipes-mufflers or any thing els hopfully its not your tranny CivicSiRacer 08-17-2004, 11:56 PM Yup most of the time when it only happens at a specific rpm it's the exhaust or part of the exhaust. I know on my Greddy Power Extreme exhaust the baffles or whatever is in the resonator cracked and only vibrated at 2500rpms. DAGAME 08-19-2004, 02:45 AM most likely its one of your heat shields on your exhaust or manifold, or your muffler has some holes in it = \ i used to have rattling from my heat shield under my manifold and by the catback, so just took it off, i never touch my exhause with my bare hands anyway = ] vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
