Civic_D16Y5 08-17-2004, 10:19 PM my first car is my 97 hx w00t, cant wait to pop in a b18c1 and turbo the shit out of it =) exman98 08-17-2004, 11:28 PM my first was also a handme donw but i had to pay for it - it was a 94 ford taurus. had about 150,000 miles and the transmition was slippin. now i just a got my 98 civic EX earlier this year. love it even though its slow apexigod 08-18-2004, 12:22 AM lol, my 1st car was a 1984 Oldsmobile Cutlass Surpreme my 2nd car was a 1993 Chevy Corsica, my 3rd car was a 1997 Civic EX, and now I have a '95 Nissan Altima. man....I hate my car lol Beastiek2 08-18-2004, 01:13 AM DOHC sticker stylinnnnnnnnnn My first wip was a 90 dodge daytona I totalled that pretty quick ooppss pikkagtr 08-18-2004, 04:07 AM congrats i got the hand me down 91 honda accord lx that was the best car i ever drove and owned because it was the first one still have it but dont drive it that often it's my mom's grocery getter now 250k and still running strong kicker1_solo 08-18-2004, 05:58 AM A 2000 Civic Ex and it has a DOHC Vtec sticker on it. wow :D cool car man :) XixGenuinexiX 08-18-2004, 05:37 PM Thx, guys. This car feels pretty fast compared to the other cars i've driven (96 Sentra, 96 Dodge Stratus ES). I plan to turbo it later on down the road. I'm going to be sticking w/ the d16y8 though. Lmao, my friend in his 92 LX accord coupe, keeps saying he'll kill me in a race.. i just laugh it off. Yesterday him and his brother were arguing about whether i had vtec or not.. LOL. The one in the 92 accord lx coupe is pretty determined to make his car faster than mine, yesterday he asked me what kind of swaps he could do and i told him he could do a h22. It's a big difference from driving a auto to a manual. Yesterday i stalled at several stoplights quite embarassing lmao. Especially when your the first person at the light and everyone behind you is waiting on you. Well, this is my daily rant for today. untamedcivic 08-18-2004, 10:20 PM kudos for that being a first car. mine was a hand me down 87 chevy nova......ouch. pretty big pile. then i bought a 95 mercury mystique 5 speed in hopes of making it like an SVT contour. sold that to my parents, and bought my 93 civic Takumi8187 08-18-2004, 10:38 PM My first car is a 04 Civic LX. LT1 Kayker 08-18-2004, 11:09 PM My first car was a 1990 Mercury Topaz. HORRIBLE PILE. only gears two and four worked, and the only way to make it shift was to redline it at 5k for 2 seconds at least. terrible...plus it was missing the exhaust...like ALL of it so it sounded like some race car haha. i liked it but looking back...it was super gay. T-Racer 08-19-2004, 12:21 AM congrats on your first car man, but don't go out racing it right away. get a feel for the clutch and practise, it takes time. wait a couple months then start racing. but congrats. XixGenuinexiX 08-19-2004, 05:48 PM I dont plan to race anytime soon. I still need to practice driving it, besides right now i feel the speed is substantial nothing to brag about, but it does have some pep for a little car. lamehonda 08-19-2004, 05:50 PM pep= it feels alot faster than it is :lol2: shanner_d 08-20-2004, 02:23 PM Is there any version of a 1992-1995 civic with a 1.4 engine or smaller? As i'm not lying about what car i might be getting first, cause its not gonna be a fuking eclipse mate so why are you lying? have you never heard of insurance? (see post 2) cause you would be crippled by it if you got an eclipse as your first car! Also the only size i've seen is a 1.6 and since i'm a boy and will be 17 i can't get it as the insurance would be too high (i live in tha UK and we get ripped off) Send me an email, talk to me on msn or reply to this post shanner_d@hotmail.com 2002Drew 08-20-2004, 04:01 PM i just found out that my second college degree was approved and it's official now. THANKS FOR MAKING ME FEEL OLD! Sigh....i was born the day Reagan was sworn in. :( Don't feel too old, I was born when Nixon was president.... 3 presidents before you. My first car was a 70 VW Bug i bought for $300 that didn't run. I pushed it 8 blocks to the gas station down the street from my house and the owner let me keep it there until i fixed it. XixGenuinexiX 08-26-2004, 03:47 PM Lol the other day, this kid told me i should add a 2.5 inch exhaust and a "cool" air intake. He then said it would add 100hp. I just sat there and nodded..
