I just put in a new alternator last week, and today I was getting a weird sound when I release the brake pedal. Any one know what this is??? it seems to be coming from the drivebelt area.

Also, when I push on the brake hard the battery light comes on. An also when I reach high rpm. (red line)

sounds like a bad connection on your alternator and or loose belt.

and you should have bought a new battery when u changed the alternator. did you?

no i didn't should I go get a new one???? Will my warrantee on the battery still work

was it a new alternator. what does it sound like a hmmm or squeal.rough noise.

Okay the light is gone my alternator was bad. and the noise is no longer there.
