I have replaced 3 fuel pumps (77,000 miles) This time the Rod that pushes on the pump is makeing a knocking sound, What is the easiest way to remove the Rod, I want to install an electric fuel pump! any suggestions! Note 86GMC 4x4 305 auto,
might be a flat spot on the cam?

take the blocker plate off and take the rod out.
