Yeah - you must have missed something. A while back there were a bunch of 1/12ths on Ebay being sold by scammers. It appears that several people were "taken for a ride". This is one of them back again. He's not even smart enough to use a completely different username.

I hate scammers!!! :nono:

Hehe - I didn't even need to see the license plate. Long ago, I used to work there and got to drive a handful of Esprits and a few of the new style Elans. Although we were not a Bentley or Rolls dealer, some of the Jaguar technicians had experience with those cars and we serviced them as well. I was one of the few that the Service Manager trusted with those special cars, so he'd pick me any time they needed to be delivered or filled up with gas or whatever. The pay wasn't all that great, but boy did I love the "benefits". :iceslolan

I'll never forget the time one of the Jag techs needed someone to drive an XJ-S with the 4.0L 6cyl and a manual transmission  to help diagnose some drivability issues. He had all sorts of equipment connected to the car and sent me out with the instructions to "drive the piss out of it for an hour" and see what it did. I think he expected it to die and leave me stranded somewhere. Upon my return he began checking the equipment in the passenger seat and was heard to exclaim something like "Bloddy Hell! You hit 124 mph out there" :iceslolan :naughty:

He was able to indentify the problem though. :evillol:

Sorry to go so far off the topic, but it's fun to reminisce sometimes.

Fun it was, but I should add that I am slightly ashamed to say that I treated customers cars that way. I placed myself and the company at risk by doing some of those things. :( :disappoin I was "young and dumb" so to speak, and would handle the situation and those opportunities differently now.

He did get that Jag fixed though. :naughty:

One other noteworthy event was getting to drive the last Mercedes Benz 300SL imported to the USA with a manual transmission. It was a special ordered car - dark blue with a creme interior and a blue top as I recall. Like the Jag, having a manual transmission in that car was a rare find here in the USA. Most owners of these cars preferred to allow the car to change gears itself. Neither transmission was all that pleasing to shift, but I'll always prefer a stick to an auto, even in heavy stop-and-go traffic.

I know this is off topic, but I couldn't help noticing that the mirrors on the Espirit look like the mirrors on XP4 and the XJ220. I think I already know this, but I just wanted to verify.

Anywho, I have been out of the country for the past month, so I haven't posted in a long while. By the way, I had a stop in London both ways, and it occured to me that the Park Lane showroom for the F1 is no longer, so it didn't make a difference whether I had enough time. If only my trip had taken place earlier. :disappoin

Yes, they are the same, and you will also find them on some Aston Martins as well - they seem to be the first choice of supercar designers from that era.

Shame that you missed out on the London showroom. I never got over there in time to see it either. Knowing my luck, with that being my only reason to visit London, I would have gone on a day that it was closed anyway. :uhoh: :lol2:

Welcome back btw!

Filthy dog!
I have sendt him question about why he's frauding people who uses their hard earnt money in good faith.

He's reply has always been (even with his 7 different userid's). I'm not frauding people!
I reported him to Ebay, but they did not seem interested in sellers who commits fraud.
They let the 10 day auction go and the poor guy who won the auction lost £245 on this f...head of a guy.
Ebay however is VERY effective if you owe them $2 etc. in listing fees.
Ebay has become a place where honest buyers must suffer under the consecvenses od dishonest people.
Ebay's trading policies simply can't keep up with the pace of their increasing popularity.
