Hi everyone,
I have a 99 2dr tahoe with 58k miles. Last couple of weeks i have noticed a "squeaking" sound comming from what appears to be the drivers side rear. this occurs almost all the time while driving over even the smallest bumps or rough road. Shocks are good.replaced about 5k miles ago. i can't get the truck to duplicate the sound while standing still, and pushing down on the rear. i have sprayed wd40 on the shock mounts. body mounts.& the spring mounts. still no luck. this used to be intermittant until the last week or so. now it makes noise everytime i drive it. anyone have any ideas..??? i have hear from someone that gm bushings make noise. could this be it..????
Thanks !!
Joe

I replaced the shocks and noticed the same squeeking sound coming from the drivers's rear side. It turned out to be the shock mount bolts had loosend. Try tightening the bolt again and make sure the lock washer is on. -Andre
