i have never owned a stick shift but i have driven a few but this car was only 500 bucks with 78000 mi it runs really good the gears shift fine but its just the gear shifter is a lil tighter than usual. is this normal the car has been sitting for like two months the dude said who i got it from. a little feedback would do and anything i should check out cause i dont know much about cars. thanx

i've seen some people have just removed the boot and re-greased the ball joint and all was fine. just check all your linkages till you find the one thats binding, and then lube it...should work fine

Don't force it into gear, I've learned to regret that. broke the linkage, and kept driving it til it stripped the tranny out.
