DarkStarRacing 08-14-2004, 06:38 AM you think i can put this motor into my sc300?and itll pass smog? i honestly dont know but as long as its a motor that was made available in the us legal then i guess i dont see why not. but im not shure on what the exact laws are on engine swaps for motors available in the us. Kris1212 12-21-2004, 01:39 AM i heard that 2jz's don't pass smog at all in the US...could be wrong though TcmaBoy 12-21-2004, 01:09 PM It will pass the sniffer no problem the Supra is available in Cali, but I'm not sure on what the rules are on engine swapping there. Surf the state websites, or call the local DMV. SupraManIII 12-21-2004, 11:56 PM All vehicles registered in california must have all factory smog equipment in tact. The 2jz is available here, and as long as all the doodads are there, and its the same company, I.e swap toyota for toyota engine, no prob, althoughif you lose any of the smog equipment, its a no go. You just cant drop a toyota engine in a honda or whatever. Supraman vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
