b16block with gsr head?JDMrexBoi 08-13-2004, 01:57 PM gsr block 94tegRS 08-14-2004, 04:34 AM I would think youd need the GSR cuz I think the block is taller so the belt would have to be longer for the GSR. and about the OBD deal, what cars it goin into? and no you wouldnt need arp head studs, unless the stock bolts are missing, theyd still probably be much cheaper than the ARP studs to replace anyways. jcrx 08-14-2004, 05:00 AM It goes by the block, if you put a GSR head on a B16A block, you use a B16A timing belt, if you put a B16A head on a GSR block, you use a GSR timing belt. And the head doesn't determine the distributor, the OBD of the car it is going into does. OBD0 car, OBD0 distributor. OBDI car, OBDI distributor. 94tegRS 08-14-2004, 06:02 AM oh crap, just realized that, I said GSR belt cuz for some reason in my mind he was putting a B16 head on a B18C1 block. well, you can tell in my post at least I knew what I meant, cuz i said the gsr belt cuz the gsr block is taller. just got myself copnfused vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
