first runcharlieteg 08-13-2004, 01:23 AM Tonight i am going to give my car its first run... i dont really know what to expect from a ls 96 with a greddy evo2 and aem cold air... but i just want to see where i am at now then after a few more mods run it again... boosted k20 08-13-2004, 10:45 AM well for me with almost the same modes: AEM cold air intake and TSUDO catback exhaust, i ran a 15.9 =/ Very shitty times. I had my power steering and AC belt still on the car with stock timing set at 16 degrees. If u wanna run a faster time, remove ur PS and AC belts, go to autozone get a timing light and advace your timing to about 18 degrees heres a write up i did on how to advance your timing http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=260579&highlight=retard+timing but if u r gonna advance the timing, u need to move the distributor towards the firewall not towards the front of the car(moving to the front retards the timing). U need to line up the white mark on the crank pulley that is closest to the front of the vehicle with the timing mark on the timinign belt cover vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
