What is the newest word on Skyline imports, Motorex??Skyline69 08-12-2004, 09:04 PM Hey all, I'm just trying to set it straight. I am in Japan right now. I've lived here for 3 years. We've always known Motorex was the only company that could import to the US. But lately I've been hearing from everyone that Motorex got shut down. Is this true??? Also we've been hearing something about 2007, what happens in 2007?? Is it going to become easier to import them or is Nissan going to make a US model??? If anyone really knows then post a reply so I can set the record straight over here in Japan. NO OPINIONS, if you don't know or just think you do then don't post. I want REAL info. Thanks alot!! :2cents: :feedback: :bananasmi VQuick 08-12-2004, 10:01 PM Rumor has it that 2007 will be the year when the next GT-R is launched. There will be a US version, but 2007 might just be the year for the JP release. Zaphod Beeblebrox 08-13-2004, 03:19 AM Hey all, I'm just trying to set it straight. I am in Japan right now. Heres the bad news, can you afford their business? It will cost you at least $15,000.00 to have it converted. I have a 1995 Skyline GTS and motorex quoted me $17,000.00 for conversion. I know since you are in Japan Skylines are a dime a dozen, meaning you can get yourself one at a fair price but can you afford what motorex is asking? abuC 08-13-2004, 02:03 PM No, Motorex is up and running. The bad news is MotoRex sucks and you'll have to wait a very long time for them to finish your car. Dont believe that 4-6 month timeline on their site, more like 1-2 years. Whether it sux or not is not the problem because they are the only company who can convert a Skyline for US specs. nisco 08-15-2004, 12:40 AM Whether it sux or not is not the problem because they are the only company who can convert a Skyline for US specs. ...for now :smokin: vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
