Restoringbig1 08-12-2004, 10:02 AM Anyone into restoration's ? I'm currently attempting to restore a 77 F100 StepSide Short Bed. I've been at it for nearly 2yr's and so far there's a new engine and transmission, everything having to do with the brake's, radiator, fuel tank, undercoating, carpeting, headliner, and I've rebuilt the bed floor. I've did the body and paint myself, but it's not very good. The mechanical are more in my line. Here's a couple of the early photo's. I have later one's, but they haven't been developed. http://mypeoplepc.com/members/big1/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/bluetruck.jpg http://mypeoplepc.com/members/big1/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/truckbed.jpg Garland 08-14-2004, 04:56 AM The bed floor looks great! I have an '80 F100 standard cab i'd like to restore, but i'm new to the field, also more in the mechanical line than interior/exterior. I did manage to put a pretty good paint job on it with Krylon paint though lol plan on clear coating it later. I'm just wondering, is an '80 really worth restoring? If so any advice on where to get a new leather seat would be appreciated, mines really torn to pieces. big1 08-14-2004, 06:35 AM Interior and exterior part's as well as most anything else you may need can be had from: http://www.lmctruck.com Go on line and order one of their catologe's. It's free That's where I got my carpeting, headliner, sunvisor's,guage cluster cover, and bed slate's. big1 08-14-2004, 06:41 AM I have now got my picture's developed. Here is the finished product http://mypeoplepc.com/members/big1/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/bluetruck2.jpghttp://mypeoplepc.com/members/big1/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/bluetruck3.jpg It has taken me two year's to get the truck this far and there's still a way's to go. Finishing the interior is next. Garland 08-14-2004, 05:37 PM Nice work Big1 that things looking real bad @$$. Thanks for the info.
