I need to do some work on my truck behind the dash and I would like to disable the Airbag system. Does anyone know the correct procedure?

pull the fuse...might be marked as "SIR", then disconnect yellow connectors to the bag it itself
driver side...should be near bottom of str column area....pass side behind glove box area.
