71 HEMI CUDaVicious 08-10-2004, 06:51 PM My names ben and IM making a model of a 1971 hemi cuda... i want to paint the exterior a stock color and was wondering if any one could tell me what they are or maybe a web site where i could see the colors myself i cant seem to find one and have run out of idea for search options.... tim1950 08-11-2004, 01:20 PM www.musclecarclub.com Musclecarclub 08-16-2004, 05:12 AM There are several goods books out there too. MOPARs came in some great looking (and loud) colors in the early 1970s. Good luck with your re-paint. xXxRocker5150 10-13-2004, 10:54 PM I say go with... either a blue I think it was called super blue, or the HEMI orange :) sk8rpinoi340 10-25-2004, 11:55 AM I think the color is Winchester Gray in Plymouth and Gunmetal gray in Dodge, well you should paint it that color. Make it look like Tom Lemmbecks Car. And I'm never heard of a Super Blue, but there is a true blue, blue sky, and a street blue. 4cruzin 10-25-2004, 10:44 PM Here is a link to a color chart for 1970. There were many brilliant colors in that year, I'm sure you'll find something you'll like! http://www.cuda-challenger.com/smf/index.php?topic=6851.0 I would of posted the chart here but rules said no attachments. :uhoh: PeteRR 10-27-2004, 08:51 PM sk8rpinoi340 10-28-2004, 11:54 AM I believe that color is Metallica Goldleaf, but I could be mistaken. I know one of the "gold" colors looks green when it's on a car. And do you know what engine is in there. It's not a Hemi, that would be 1 out of 7 plus it would be about $1 mil, I think It's a 440 4or6 pack. Because there is only one 71 383 Converible Cuda. PeteRR 10-28-2004, 12:20 PM 440/6Pak + 4 Speed. sk8rpinoi340 10-29-2004, 10:59 AM Really that's tyte, I just learned something new 71 cuda' 09-23-2005, 01:35 AM i would say "bahama yellow" or "i am curious yellow" those were original colors for the 71. MrPbody 09-23-2005, 09:52 AM "I Am Curious Yellow"... Argh! Argh! Humor... Anyone else remember that movie? Late '60s porn "hit"... It was hardcore for the day,. but by today's standards it's sorta "soft". My my, how things have changed. To think a large company naming ANYTHING after ANYTHING "porn" today is unthinkable. How I HATE political "correctness". Isn't that an oxymoron according the Constitution? Or at least, the "American spirit"... ? I sure miss the days when freedom was legal and people weren't so thin-skinned...
