Hello, i changed the fluid, and the owner manual says to add 1.7 qt. so i did. But after driving it for 10 mins, and re checking the level - it was at the cool level.
So should i add 1 more qt?
What's the diffrance between ckecking the fluid level in cold or hot condition?

Add enough to bring it to the hot level after having driven it that far. May not be 1 qt.

The ATF expands from heating and the level rises.

What kind of information?

BTW, driving for 10 min may not be long enough, particularly in winter. Depends alot on how much you work your torque converter. I would check the ATF level after having driven it in low speed or stop-and-go traffic for longer than that. There is no hard and fast rule that I know of. Driving it on the expressway is easy on the torque converter because it locks up and doesn't have to work at all above 50 mph.

Also, dropping the pan and replacing the 2 qts or so of fluid doesn't change most of the ATF. A dissassembled transmission holds 15 qts of ATF, so you can see how little is really changed by dropping the pan. The majority of the fluid is not in the pan, but in the torque converter and the valve body. To change most of the fluid, you have to flush the transmission through the transmission cooler lines with a special flush machine.
