For those who have the time and patience and not being faint of heart, the light can be replaced. I have successfully replaced the light in my '99 Destroyer. What could be the cause of your subsequent failure is from the connector. I scarfed a light bulb from another wreck. In replacing the bulb, I removed the switch from the steering wheel. To make it easier (uh-huh), I pulled the connector off of the switch .... and from the ribbon cable as well :cya: . After a few, well after a time and few words, I successfully reattached the cable and connector and reconnected the switch. I had a light in my ON/OFF switch for about a day before that bulb gave up! :swear: A good bulb may have done the trick, but I just live without the light. Someday, it will annoy me enuf to try it again, but not today!
