I'm selling a 1990 300zx 2 seater. It is maroon and it has a black stillen gtzr2 front bumper on it. The black leather interior is in really good condition. The car runs but it has a slight rod knock..I think it spun a rod bearing. It has 76,xxx miles on it.I have pics and i'd like to sell within the week. $2000 takes it. You can email me for more information at Iceburgx500@aol.com. You can see pics of it at http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/277670/2

The car is exactly the way i bought it. I got the car as a project and i ran out of money so i just want to sell it for what i have in it.I was told that the hood was slammed with something under it. I really haven't had the time to repair or replace it.

how much do you think replacing the bearing would cost. also is that the only thing wrong with it or is there any other known problems with the car. also are the hinges under the hood broken or is the hood itself dented. i cant quite tell from your pictures

I have the bearing but you have to get the rod machined so that you could use the undersized bearing. i was quoted like 20 bucks to do that. As far as other known problems with the car i don't know of any others. The hood itself has a few dents but they are easily fixed, that's why it sits that way

Guys if it was a SIMPLE fix he would have had it done by now...

Plan on a new engine. Once something small goes wrong with VG's, it never stays small for long.

Ask Broke as **** about that.

"I heard a small ticking in the engine... Thought it was just a valve tick, no big deal. Five minutes down the road, there was a hole in the bottom end"

If your going to buy the car... Plan on another $1,500+ to get it running right.

Which even at that... Is still a VERY good deal.

$3,500 for a sick-ass Zed... Not bad fella's.

well obviously you know more about these cars then i do since i never owned one but wouldnt it seem odd that you would have to replace an engine at only 80 thousand miles??? wouldnt you have to totally take apart the engine to fix that that though? i obvioulsy dont have alot of money and dont want to but it if its going to fall apart shortly.

yeah i live pretty close to there but i cant afford to buy it now, I already have an NA. I thought I saw your car for sale actually, the area just reminds me of one time when i saw a Z for sale

It's not that easy... If you have a cherry picker, and proper tools. Sure.

But your average bear doesnt.

If you have the time, and patience, to mark every little part, and tag where it goes. The props to you. I would never do that with a VG.

New engine is MUCH easier, and MUCH smarter.

In my honest opinion...
