I came across a 1996 Pontiac Sunfire 4dr for sale, $1000. I met with the owner and theres definatley problems with the car. First is the ignition, he said it would need a whole new ignition system. Then theres a huge crack in the front windshield that would need to be replaced. The last thing is with the manafold. Not sure really whats wrong with it, but he said somthing about a small leak or hole. Also a small leak in the rear left tire. Theres a problem with the locks where any key can open it... same with the trunk from what I remember.

Other wise the car is in very excellent condition. What do you think that would cost to get it into certifiable condition? I could probably pick up the parts from a scrapyard. Does this sound like a good deal or am I just asking for headaches. He drives a taxi and already has a car so he's just looking to get rid of this one before winter sets in. You're not allowed to park on the side of the road in the winter and it was pretty obvious he didn't have the room in his driveway. Where should I go from here?
