what does this do?

You have got to be kidding man.

Those are the rpm up-shifting times, you upshift at these time from the starting line or while racing to get the maximum speed and acceleration out of your car.

Wow.. 8500, 8500, 10000, 145 kh/m works for me with the AE86 I dunno I think my start up is alot faster.

dam, did u find all those rpm shift numbers on a web site or did u find those urselve cuz that must of took a while to find out which works the best

I figured it out myself. At first I was just estimating. If I shift to late the next gear lags. Cuz the RPM's shoot all far down after shifting. So I figured to get a good start off I measured my shifting in RPMs. Well only for 1-2 2-3 then from 3-4 I shift at the redline i think thats 10000 RPMs. Then I shift at a certain speed.

he said props to initial-d.com but anyways on akina with the trueno you actually wanna upshit to fifth around 145 hence upshifting at the km/h posted would lose precious 4th gear acceleration time.

Oh dang he did say props to Initial-D.com I guess there is a site for shifting in the Trueno with the engine upgrade. But, I still like my shifting. I get a better start off that way. The only way I can catch a car on Akina DH at the start. Im mostly forced to take the worse line because of the 10.5m lead from the EVO's I race.

these gears arent exact. there just like an estimate in where u want to shift. like for my fd, i do 6.25,6.5,7. then depending on the course i shift to 5th. for myogi, i shift at 155-160. akagi, i shift at like 145.

switching into fifth gear at a km/h is more accurate anyways than actually looking at the gauge. and your myogi shift time wtf? you vary from 5km/h?

I have no clue of what to shift at anywhere. I only know my AK DH times. So if you can let me know anything on other stages would really help.

Wait nevermind. I understand now. I thought the RPM time shifts varied forget I even asked.

Sorry
