What exactly do you mean by newer? LT1 or LS1? earlier?

Before LT1 - http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=VOR-4GF218-060S&N=120%204294925239%204294922412%20303309

I think procharger is said to be the best, and they also have an LT1 kit that I'm not sure where is available for purchase online. You can see it at

I'm looking for the same thing. Procharger has a website and it has a few kits on the LT1 and LS1. The LT1 superchargers can boost the power 100% at 20 psi (285HP + 100% = 570). The LS1 superchargers can boost it up 60% at around 9 psi (345HP + 60% = 552). Would it be better to get the LT1 at 20 psi, or the LS1 at 9 psi, given that the end horsepower is comparable? Or would it be possible to run 20 psi on the LS1 do you think? A 100% boost on the LS1 would yield just under 700HP. Any suggestions?

i don't think running either engine on 20 psi would be too smart of an idea without other significant mods. i would suggest building up both the bottom and top end of the engine before boosting that much. the superchargers usually start off between 6-8 psi. and they say that works good on a stock engine. but if you wanted to run 20 lbs, i would definitly build up the top and bottom
