Whats So Special?crxlvr 02-02-2002, 09:58 PM i have seen a bunch of "special edition", accords tegs etc with the special edition badge on em, other then different rims, what else is different, what makes it so "special"? crxlvr 02-05-2002, 11:59 PM apperently nothing, as noone has responded:( Kohhal 02-06-2002, 09:39 AM Well I've no idea about that particlular car but the dealers usually whack a few extras on a model which is being phased out, stick a "special edition" sticker on it and try selling it off before the new stock comes in. So what are these extras then? Like you said, alloys for a start. You can also get different combinations of the following depending what came stock on the original model: e/s/r, e/w, c/l, airbags, spoiler, floormats, maybe front lips, foglights etc. If you want to know about a specific car/model then you're best bet is to ask in the appropriate forum. :) Hudson 02-06-2002, 10:40 AM Dealer groups (watch the local car ads and see what "dealer group" sponsors the ad..."Northeast Honda Dealers," "Tri-state Honda Dealers," etc.) and, sometimes, the manufacturer will put a group of options together, tag it with a "limited edition", "special edition", or "Joe Namath Edition" badge...and get rid of the last of a model run. It happens all the time. Sometimes, the dealer or dealer group will put out a special edition just to move a slow-selling model. These sort of "special editions" are typically not more valuable or desired. It's just another way to get rid of cars. easternxtreme 02-13-2002, 05:15 PM ive only seen red 'special edition' 5th gen accords nemesls_2000 03-05-2002, 12:54 PM They only come out with them once/twice a generation. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
