If you are happy with the stock ride, get the Delco level-ride shocks. I don't know if the Monroe has fittings that are compatable with the stock air lines.

Delco Dynaride shocks must be GM dealer parts.

The Grand Touring uses the Monroe Shocks, a more sporty ride, and has the correct fittings.

Either way, make sure you get the air hose installed correctly, or the compressor will be doing a lot of needless work pumping up leaky shocks.

It's all about which you want!

tman, Can you offer more detail in the Monroe shock selection. On the Monroe site I come up with 3 names. Sensa-trac, Monroematic and Reflex. Any idea as to what the differences are?

Call your dealer, ask for the monroe shocks for the car, and ask for the monroe model name, and part number

I'd imagine they were sensa-trac's

Sensa-trac are for cars, Monroematic are bottom-of-the-line shocks (you know, for Ford Aspire's and Mustangs...lol), and Reflex shocks are for trucks....thick and sturdy! I should know, i work in a mechanic shop! ;)

I thought I would go the cheap route on my son's beater and bought Monroe-matic. The old Gabriels with 70,000 miles had more resistance when I took them off. Got the Sensa-traks - much better.

Please Don't knock the Ford Mustang, I own a 1988 GT 5.0 that is biult and cherry... There the exception to ford..
