nsx stands for...?weaponCIVIC 08-03-2004, 11:09 PM title says it all jcsaleen 08-07-2004, 02:18 AM I dont think it really stands for anything but it might be aimed at the sports car market as kind of a catchy name I mean just say it N-S-X. weaponCIVIC 08-07-2004, 09:34 AM lol ya mabye MexSiR 08-08-2004, 02:07 AM In XCESS. jcsaleen 08-08-2004, 02:11 AM In XCESS. Meaning??access or success? drunken monkey 08-08-2004, 01:30 PM New Sports eXperiment. remember, the car is about 13/14 years old. the fact is, car companies are only just catching up with what honda have done in the NSX. also, experiment cos honda were kinda working their way up to making this sort of car. it was their own little experiment in making a useable everyday mid-engined car, bringing in everything they have learnt in cars such as the CRX and beat. and also, they had access to ayrton senna to hone the suspension, which was nice... jcsaleen 08-09-2004, 01:13 AM 1991 was when it came out but the proj started in 88 I think not sure. drunken monkey 08-10-2004, 11:49 AM ok, so maybe its more than 13/14 years old. but then, that only goes to show how much it accomplished in its day. the fact that a lot of people still use it as a benchmark for comparisons today just goes to show how much they got right. gordon murray used it as a reference for the F1. porsche and walter rohle referenced one during the Carrera GT developement (but only cos they couldn't get a 360 apparently but still, when they couldn't get a brand new car, they chose a 10-15 year old one instead? says a lot me-thinks...) AND you can't say the NSX didn't play a part in the development of the 360 from the 348/355. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
