93' New Yorker/5th Avenue Air Shocks---Help Me!!!!!!Car Guy 08-03-2004, 07:34 PM I have a 1993 Chrysler New Yorker Fifth Avenue that has the auto ride leveling system. The front end has the typical strut setup but the back has the air shocks. Called the dealer and they wanted $654.00 for two shocks, a little more than I wanted to spend and aftermarket doesn't offer them. The only reason I'm considering this is because the car is MINT with low miles. I did find Gabriel 'Hi-Jackers' air shocks online for a very reasonable price but I went to Gabriel’s website and they don't list them as an option for the air ride suspension. Is there anything else I can do, like using gas charged shocks or can I just use the ‘Hi-Jackers’ anyway? Thanks jake7789 10-30-2005, 09:04 PM I put air shocks on mine works fine, think they might be monroe I"ll check & get back w/u. I did it for the same reason nxk2000 12-20-2006, 12:39 AM Has anyone had any more dealings with trying a replacement for the air shocks? I have a 90 new yorker with the same problem as above. Can standard socks be put in place? Will the stock springs be strong enough without the help of the air bags? Thanks bud4289 12-28-2006, 10:04 PM hey not sure how to post here im new but anyhoo igot a prob 1988 chrylser new yorker fule pump is pumpin even though the cars off and now my plugs are saturated with gas any1 get that please any help will do thanks BUD bud4289 01-18-2007, 06:28 PM my dad had the same problem on an 1988 newyorker he said to tell u guys to just put coil springs on and the problem will b solved and youll save money :)i think he paid like 300$ so gl eh vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
