I have a 1993 Chrysler New Yorker Fifth Avenue that has the auto ride leveling system. The front end has the typical strut setup but the back has the air shocks. Called the dealer and they wanted $654.00 for two shocks, a little more than I wanted to spend and aftermarket doesn't offer them. The only reason I'm considering this is because the car is MINT with low miles. I did find Gabriel 'Hi-Jackers' air shocks online for a very reasonable price but I went to Gabriel’s website and they don't list them as an option for the air ride suspension.

Is there anything else I can do, like using gas charged shocks or can I just use the ‘Hi-Jackers’ anyway?

Thanks

Has anyone had any more dealings with trying a replacement for the air shocks? I have a 90 new yorker with the same problem as above. Can standard socks be put in place? Will the stock springs be strong enough without the help of the air bags?

Thanks
