1995 Sierra Extended Cab passenger seat slide issuesbudzos 08-03-2004, 10:55 AM The slides on my passenger seat that allow the seat to move forward to allow rear entry have been damaged or actually were damaged when I puchased the vehicle. One of the rails has been bent. Is there a way that I can substitute an aftermarket part or possibly a part from a different model? Has anybody been through this? The 1995 seat assembly seems to be a rather unique setup. This is a manual cloth bucket seat with adjustable lumbar support. Thanks, Phil TweakedGM 08-05-2004, 03:35 AM I had to go to the dealer for mine. budzos 08-09-2004, 09:24 AM I think I might end up going to the dealer as well, but that is going to be expensive! Thanks for the reply, Philip Wolfe Heeb 08-09-2004, 11:23 PM What about calling a couple of local junkyards? One of them would probably have what you need. TweakedGM 08-10-2004, 01:15 AM I would stay away from the junkyards. If you want to take a gamble go for it. I would say you got about 40/60 chance for a good one. budzos 08-10-2004, 09:49 AM We have tried all the salvage yards we could and have not found the slide anywhere. My brother works in a body shop and I am ordering the part from a dealer, there cost is about $165.00. I guess I will have to bite the bullet on this one. Thanks for all the replys. Philip Wolfe budzos 08-24-2004, 11:00 PM The slide has been replaced. It was a fairly simple installation except for prying open my wallet. Total cost was about $170.00 Thanks for all the replys.
