Hi, My 95' camry is acting strange. Several months ago, the starter would not engage when turning the key, just a click. after jiggiling the key and taking it in and out it would eventually start, somtimes taking longer then others.
I changed the battery, which showed improvment for only a few days.
I removed the starter connections cleaned them and put them back on. this fixed the problem for a couple months, now it's doing it again. Also while this is happening the acouple of the radio buttons don't work as well.... not sure what to do...

Need a little more info for a diagnosis as these are probably unrelated. You could take it to a larger parts store and ask them to check the battery and charging system. It's free!

Radio is unrelated. Your starting problem is most likely your solenoid contacts.

Thanks joe and brian, I failed to mention that i did have the charging system checked.
The contacts are part of the starter, is that correct?
