Hey people, newbie here! ;)

I've searched the forum but to no avail, so I'm hoping someone can help me out.

Anyways I have a 98 4Runner Limited and I bought a new headunit for it. When I picked up one of the wiring harness that was supposed to be for 87-03 or something along those lines, and I realized that the conectors are different. Does the 4 runner have a different harness than other toyota's of similar years, or is there a special harness I can get to make this install a little easier.

I'm fully aware that I can Hard wire it, but I wanted to avoid splicing into the stock harness if I can.

Thanks for any info you can lend. :)

Maybe the harness you have is for the equalizer?

I just installed a new radio in my car and had the same problem. See, there is an amplifier right behind the radio. It is silver and is held in place with 2 brackets. There you will find the right harness. Just take the amp out and you will have 2 harnesses, one big, one small, I just used the bigger one. Also there are 2 antennas, the bigger one is for FM, smaller one for AM.
