water on driver sidehbutler 08-01-2004, 11:17 AM hot water is coming in on driver side of floor board. Does anybody know what is going on? Edawna 09-01-2004, 08:43 AM Does it smell like coolant? We have the same problem. The hoses going into the interior cabin need to be replaced probably. Ours do. I'll check our manual and let you know what they're called exactly. My husband told me but I forgot. gcourage 09-20-2004, 10:11 PM I am having the same problem. Spent 2 hours hosing the van dowen tonight and thik it may be coming from the door area. No smell to wet area so assuming it is water. ANy suggestions appreciated gforster 09-21-2004, 12:04 AM if it's a 96 or newer check the grommet for the ebrake cable it's down under the kick plate mine was falling out and allowing road water to splash in from the front wheel and soak the carpet on drivers side. silicone fixed it..... gcourage 09-21-2004, 09:40 AM I will check that but I know water gets in while the van is parked. I wasn't sure at first if it was coming from the tires or just running in while the van was parked so I decided to park it for 2-3 days during we which we had a rain storm. After some heavy rain the front mat was soaked!! I hosed down the entire driver's side and no luck finding it. caravan 09-24-2004, 07:20 PM Does your windshield fog when raining? If it does, you might want to try and check the windshield gasket and see if that is the problem. good luck..... gcourage 09-25-2004, 12:46 PM I found the leak!! The rubber seal around the bonnet release cable was off. Hard to spot from outside and close to impossible from inside until you remove all carpet and flooring.. Thanks for all the suggestions.. Another cause for this problem could be broken seal around computer. Guy vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
