o2 sensors (purpose)

WHat is the purpose of the upstream and down stream 02 sensors? DO the upstream sensors adjust the air fuel mixture?

The two sensors closest to the motor are used to adjust the A/F ratio and the post catalytic sensors monitor catalyst efficiency

DO you think removing the converters would cause my computer to adjust the air fuel mixture or will it just through a code from the rear sensors. My thinking is if the converters are removed the computere simply sneses that the converters are no longer working and should not effect the air/fuel mixture. Jeremy does this sound logical??

It should only affect backpressure in the exhaust system along with the code for no cat. A lot of people run without a cat and just put up with the code. Random technologies is supposed to make a good high flow catalytic

Do you think I would lose much performance without the cats or would I gain mpg and some performance???
