Remote Programming

I own a 97 Grand AM SE and I have a remote problem. I bought it from a dealership that bought it from an auction and somewhere in between the remote for the alarm was lost. I bought the remote and it came with the instructions on how to program the remote. The instructions were no help so I tried to follow the instructions printed on the forum. Has anyone successfully programed the remote using these directions and if so how.

Yes but I have no idea where to ground the terminal.
