Hey, first post here.
Last week I was driving my just purchased 1989 camry LE on the highway when all of a sudden vapor started spewing from the A/C vents. I'm pretty sure it was water vapor, but I was wondering if anyone else has ever experienced this in their Cam and knows what I should do about it? Thanks

I noticed my 91 doing the same thing the other day. Works fine, I think it was just a matter of temp and humidity.

It's been happening quite a bit in my '99 here lately...I have no clue what causes it...maybe it's caused by moisture in the a/c system somewhere...I actually think it might be caused by moisture buildup in the blower assembly.

Actually, it happened to my 89 camry before the compressor goes out. I don't know if that it what is going to happen. Check your compressor to see if the seals are cracked.

Where exactly are the seals located, and which seals are you referring to?

Same thing happened to me. A cold fog came pouring through my vents. I had only bought the car when this happened. I know that my refrigerant level is low and can not get it refilled because it's the older Freon. My A/C now just blows hot air. I have heard that this can also be a heater core related problem.
