Well yesterday me and my friends kicked in San Bernardino. At some spot just talking and kicking it.

Now to the racing part. We were coming back it’s a 5 lane street no streets crossing it. Its straight for about 5 miles. We were going and my friend has a 95 Eclipse Gs-T so we were rolling an my other friend has 94 Accord , and my friends brother a 96 neon. There all stock. The Eclipse and the Accord just have exist. So we stopped and we all go in a line. My friends were REVING hardcore. The Accord was stick also the Neon and the Eclipse was auto. We counted to three. We took off the Accord got an advantage and took off cause it was only him inside. The Eclipse had me and my friend and my friend driving, the Neon had the my friend and his gf and my friends cousin. So the Accord got like 3 cars length. The Neon was wasting his time racing we didn’t see him after 60 . At 60 we cathed up the Accord and from 60 - 125 got about 6 - 12 cars length. So my friend beat the Accord and the Neon lost. My friend in the accord wanted a rematch from a roll this time. We raced in the 15 freeway going south from 60 to 130 but we still killed the Accord. And the rest of the way we were rolling at 100.

It was a good night but we had to get home. If it wasn’t for that we would of stayed looking for racers. Thanks guys

Yeah i know hes been talking a Shti load of stuff how hes gonna smoke my stang. and that they suck. but i will show him up next year.

Stock for stock, and assuming equal drivers, he would only show the Eclipse how to ride side by side.

lol, thanks guys. well i heard that my mustang has the almost the same specs. and im still learning how to drive it. its stick and i have the hang of it but im still learning how to luanch of fast. once i get the hand of it ill race him. i will record on my camara. so i coudl remember my 1st race me racing. oh yeah im also 16 and i need my licence. thanks for everybody REPLY back.

If only there was one person in each car. Not to knock off the Gs-t or the Accord but the neon wouldve won probably considering the gst ws an auto. Also if everyone was the same with skills then it would be between the gst and the neon.The times for accords are in the 16's the gs-t's run 15's with a manual and the neons run 15's. So basically it wouldve turned out the neon and the gst wouldve ran together and not the accord.

neons dont run 15's. . . maybe an R/T if its lucky but no stock neon is gonna run 15's. My buddy has a stock neon manual and it could barely beat my old 95 cavalier sedan which ran high 17's.

My friend raced his brother a couple of times already. he raced him with the Gs-T and hi has won all the races vs. his brother in the neon.

stock base model neons are slow. stick or auto. no way in hell its gonna hang with a turbo charged eclipse.

209 neon help me out. All of you guys should go to neons.org and search. Neon sohc (sohc) has run a low 15 many times before. Look at the timeslips it should be there. -Jayson- please man before you talk research. Im not trying to flame you or nothing but you must never have heard of the 2.4 neons either. They run low to mid 14's and it is still a neon motor just bored and stroked.

well my friend eclispe is fast stock. he has won twice a Lancer rally edition , 1 Crx, 2 Eclipse, and hes Accord and he has only lost to a Pontiac Gran Prix cause he got a head start. so he has won some races. but i cant wait till i race him.

neons r slow..theres no chance its keepin up w/ a gs-t unless it has a buncha mods or, the person w/ the eclipse really sucks at driving. 210 hp turbocharged vs. like, 132 i think??? no chance. even the accord shouldnt have much of a chance thats only got like, 145. the gs-t shoudl have toasted em all i dunno whats wrong w/ him.

There is no way a stock 1996 Neon, no matter what trim level, transmission, or passenger cargo, is going to run low 15's. NO WAY.

True, true. But i just have to say...15.3??? What mustang runs that? I've got extremely skinny/shitty tires, no traction off the line, and stilill pulled a 15.1 @ 91mph (a best of 93mph) shortshifting to 4th gear near the finish (dont want to hurt my motor). With better tires and it would pull 14.90's all day. Just saying. But your right about the shifting, wheelspin part.
