low IdleGizrat 07-27-2004, 08:48 PM Both my 2000 Ford explorer and my 2000 Ford taurus want to idle at 500 rpm's Does anyone think this has something to do with the Iac valve? Or is it that I still have the original plugs and wires on both and they both have over 70,000 miles Car Pal 07-28-2004, 07:48 PM iac valves are common for the explorers. 123jww 09-15-2004, 01:26 PM in the throttle plate there is a bypass line that takes small amounts of gas so that a car will get gas when idling, this could be a clogged bypass line geoffapril 10-22-2004, 10:26 AM How do you fix a clogged throttle bypass line?
