Can somone explain the benefits of disabling t-vis on an 86 4age?
What about blocking the egr?
Any real gains?

?????????? how would getting rid of tvis make your car faster, unless you replace it with some other crazy valve timing.

Getting rid of the TVIS will increase the amount of flow through your intake manifold at WOT since all the "TVIS stuff" is no longer in the way.
The trade off is loss of low-end power.

The only gain from blocking the EGR is you stop dirty air from re-entering the system which is probably an immeasurable gain.

Sorry im really trying to become mr2 smart. So blocking the egr isnt really worth it? I dont really want to lose any more low end unless the gain on top end is worth it.

I would not do either of the mods you listed on a MK1. The TVIS mod is more beneficial to the turboed MR2s since they are forcing more air in to begin with.
