When playing CDs on my 97 Accord, the output from the speakers sounds like a faint, scratchy radio station...like when you get out of range of a radio station. The radio and tape player work and sound fine. I have a stock Honda CD changer mounted in the trunk.
What could be causing the problem with playing CDs?

it could be that you need to clean your player.
you can buy CD Laser Lens Cleaner at radio shack for $12.49.

It happens on all CDs...
Also, it's worse when the outside temperature is warmer...if it's colder outside, it works a little better and more often...
Any ideas?

no Honda, we see you, there's just more possibilities than a dirty lens.

Honda_99, I'm going to try the lens cleaner...thanks for the suggestion...it makes sense that the cleaner may fix the problem...
