who would win?unicyclemidget11 07-26-2004, 11:27 AM Who would win in a race? Both cars are stock and manual. A 95 trans am or a 99 mustang gt? landyacht 07-26-2004, 01:18 PM You should race and find out, i can tell you it'd be really close. I suppose if i had to choose i'd put my money on the Stang...the T/A wasn't LS1 material in that year (i don't think), so it'd be a good run. Especially if the drivers are both top notch. SpaceManSpiff 07-26-2004, 03:02 PM It was an LT1 that year. Race and find out! Andydg 07-27-2004, 01:27 AM Race!!! But if I had to put my money somewhere it would be on the Trans Am. silentshot 07-27-2004, 09:00 AM i agree with landyacht, this race would be very close, and would depend on both drivers abilities...this would be a true test of driving ability i think, and would also be a great race to see. 209 neon 07-27-2004, 10:14 AM race and find out.... Hypsi87 07-27-2004, 10:26 AM im gonna say the mustang on this one. Although it will be close. The mustang will edge it out. As long as both cars are in stock trim VoodooCS 07-27-2004, 11:58 AM Mustang really to close though you might need a flordia recount JekylandHyde 07-27-2004, 01:04 PM Who would win in a race? Both cars are stock and manual. A 95 trans am or a 99 mustang gt? The cop. Whose driving? ... cars don''t win without a driver and that is often more important than the car. landyacht 07-27-2004, 03:11 PM Thanks for the clarification as to the LS1....in that case i'm gonna say that if it's street light to street light i think the T/A, if it's an LS1, would come out on top. However, if ya'll are gonna be running a TRUE street race (ie 1/4 mile or more / tearing down the freeway) it's hard to tell. I do think that the Stang would still come out on top, though the drivers will definitely dictate the results.... Go race and come and tell us how it ended up!! CassiesMan 07-27-2004, 03:18 PM The cop. Whose driving? ... cars don''t win without a driver and that is often more important than the car. Ferarri Enzo v Stock Honda Civic...all you need in that case is someone to press the pedal and shift, I dont think driver skill is gonna matter all that much. youngvr4 07-27-2004, 03:32 PM and that is often more important than the car. he said OFTEN more important, not always more important. he's not an idiot and neither is the rest of us. its common sense that when that far apart its the car. but if its a m3 vs a supra or trans am vs mustang gt. its the driver that makes the difference CassiesMan 07-27-2004, 04:00 PM Is that the TS Supra in your sigy? Or is it an RX-7?
