AC problem after remote key programming

A week ago I had my remote key reprogrammed at the local dealer. Right after that I noticed the ac fan would not go off and now the climate control is erratic.

Never had a single problem until the remote reprogramming.

Is there a link?

I took the car back and now they say it'll take about $1,000.00 to repair.

They say my ATC Control head and the Recirculation Actuator need to be replaced.

This thing worked perfect before I took it into the shop and I pointed that out but they say the remote key fob reprogramming has nothing to do with the ac system.

Please help with suggestions. I sure am suspicious!!!

I am no expert but the 2 events may not be related. Unfortunately it seems like ATC failures are not uncommon.
