Thinking of Suzuki Aerio SX but How expensive are they to fix?bjy20716 07-25-2004, 11:52 AM I test drove a 2004 aerio sx yesterday and liked it but how many people will actually work on a Suzuki? Are they expensive for repairs? Do you basicly always have to take it back to the dealer? I would like to try to find a used one so I am not sure if I would get the warrenty or not so I'm just wondering if they are expensive for repairs (Suzuki cars in general). Thank You! Old Lar 07-25-2004, 04:47 PM Unless you are a mechanic or know a good one, I always found it best to take it back to someone who has available parts. (dealer) I bought a new Suzuki Sidekick 4 door in 1992 and I found it to be a very reliable car. I had the car seven years and had two tuneups on it, a set of tires, the brakes replaced and a cat replaced under warrenty. My only complaint was the 1.6L engine was rather anemic, but seven years and 90,000 miles I couldn't complain about reliability. It was a 4wd with a 5 speed transmission and I didn't beat on it on or off road. My cousin has a 97 Sidekick 2wd, with a 5 speed transmission and had the engine replaced under warrenty (a bad block casting), a tuneup after 50,000 miles and just had his first problem: a clutch slave cylinder ($400 at a transmission shop) at 80,000 miles on the odometer. Again the 1.8L engine is rather anemic, but it still runs real good. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
