I have a 1989 2500 scottsdale with a 5.7L 350 under hood. I was wondering if anybody knows how much torque is required when replacing spark plugs? Any other suggestions for this procedure would be helpful as well. Thank-You

Not too many people torque their spark plugs.

As a professional, you kind of get a feel for it.

With a tapered seat like yours, using 10-12 ft. lbs. will do fine.

Thank you for the info. I didn't know if torqueing the plugs was critical or not. Now I'm off to the tool store to buy a torque wrench. At least it gives me an excuse to put one in my tool box!-jonnybravo101-
