spark plug torquejonnybravo101 07-25-2004, 03:12 AM I have a 1989 2500 scottsdale with a 5.7L 350 under hood. I was wondering if anybody knows how much torque is required when replacing spark plugs? Any other suggestions for this procedure would be helpful as well. Thank-You Pamsdad 07-25-2004, 06:48 AM Not too many people torque their spark plugs. As a professional, you kind of get a feel for it. With a tapered seat like yours, using 10-12 ft. lbs. will do fine. jonnybravo101 07-25-2004, 02:44 PM Not too many people torque their spark plugs. Now I'm off to the tool store to buy a torque wrench. At least it gives me an excuse to put one in my tool box!-jonnybravo101- vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
