having trouble with compartment air filter installation,there wasn't one before and the new filter...... 1/3 of it folds? any help will be appreciated. thanks

I figure you mean cabin air filter.
Its in 3 pieces, slide the first one in, and push up, slide the second in, and latch them together, slide in the third, and latch them together.
