1995 Accord rear speaker question...mrpatis 07-22-2004, 05:39 AM Hey everyone, I'm looking to upgrade the stock speakers in my Accord coupe, and right now it seems that all four corners hold the 6.5" stock speakers. I have already purchased new front speakers, but I'm wondering if there's a way to install 6x9's in the rear. If I look closely at the mounting holes for the rears, it certainly seems possible, since the stock 6.5"s are mounted in large, oval-shaped holes. Sorry if this is hard to understand, but if you happen to have a 94-97 Accord coupe, look in the trunk and you'll know what I'm talking about. Thanks everyone!! ericnors 07-22-2004, 11:33 AM Check crutchfield.com if you buy from them you get like instructions and a kit... It can be done. You just might be cutting a little. f22burnout 07-22-2004, 10:39 PM I have a 94 the twin of the 95 and yes 6x9's fit in the back they're a little hard to screw in on the back side but no problems were expeirenced when I installed mine. mrpatis 07-22-2004, 11:15 PM Awesome, thanks for the help! By the way, would I need a special kit or harness for the 6x9's? grimple1 07-22-2004, 11:33 PM 6x9s do work in the back... the door speakers in the Accord Ex models are 5X(something) they are not 6.5s. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
