I just recently purchased a 200 civic and was not aware the stereo would lock me out! The previous owners did not leave the code behind. My vin is 2HGEJ6611YH552816. If anyone can help, I'd really appreciate it! I love my Honda, but I really love my music! Thanks!

Check the glove box, center console, fuse covers for a white sticker containing the code. If not there you need the VIN and radio serial number found on top/bottom of radio. That means either you or Honda will need to remove it in order to get the code unless the original selling dealer still has it on file. The Honda dealer I worked for would charge $92.00 for the code 1.0hr of labor.

yeah happened to my fathers 2003 accord...and if u got it from a dealer thats not honda theres a good chance they wont have it...then ur definetely gonna have to pay labor for honda to pull the radio out...but then again you can always just get a new radio like a pioneer or alpine...which you would never have to worry about codes again!!!

just pull out the radio yourself and write down all the serial numbers that u can see on the underside of the radio. after u do this, take this info along with ur VIN to honda and they'll pull up ur radio code!

if u cant take out your radio by yourself then u have issues and shouldnt be around a car!!!! lol, j/k. no seriously removing the radio is common sense. it's not hard at all!!!!!!

Honda requires the vehicle & radio(if removed) in order to get anti theft code, otherwise anti theft would be pretty useless if anybody could get the code.
