92 camry tail light problem

OK... I have a problem with my tail lights. When my headlights are on the tailights are all dark. If I press the breaks at any time, all the lights in back will light up, even when my headlighs are on. I searched a little and found that the taillight relay to a 88-91 camry is in the truck on the drivers side, but I can't find mine. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

check the wiring harness near the trunk hinge

Sorry to bring this thread up again but I keep having the same problem. It was the tail light relay in the truck. I replaced the tail light relay (yellow box) in the truck and it fixed my problem for a day, but then it burned the circuit board of the tail light relay again in the exact same spot the first one got burned. Could anyone think of why I keep burning up this relay? Thanks for your time.

I think the yellow box your referring to is actually the light burnt out sensor. It is sensing current differntial between brake/tail light assys.
The most common reason for frying this board is a short circuit "almost"
always caused by a break in the wiring harness where it goes around the left trunk hinge shorting to the hinge. You really need to unwrap
the harness and do a real good inspection of all those wires. I burnt up a solder trace on that c/b caused by a short. Those boards are easily repaired by the way if you are handy with a soldering iron.
Find that short.

Sorry, again, to bring up this thread but my problem persists. I just took my car to the dealer because I couldn't find the short, and they looked for it for 4 hours and 300 dollars later they have proved they are morons and can't find anything. Does anyone know where I could take my car to not spend another $300?
