magnaflow catback problem, please helpbrissy 07-19-2004, 05:52 PM I have a 2000 Toyota Tacoma, 4wd, exteded cab. I just bought a magna flow catback exhaust system for my truck. I have ran into a problem. I have been told that I ordered the right part for my truck from magnaflow, 15811, but when I go to put it up to the truck, the system is short. The muffler and the back pipe work fine. The problem is that the pipe from the cat to the muffler seems about a foot short. I have verified with magna flow that my system is correct one. They think it should work. I checked all the dimesions that they gave me on the lengths of their catback exhaust system. I just don't know where to turn. I am thinking of sending it back, but I really wanted the system on my truck. Is there anything I am doing wrong? Thanks for the help! brissy Brian R. 07-20-2004, 01:30 AM Without seeing the system, it is hard to tell. You could take the muffler and tailpipe to a muffler shop and ask them to custom bend you a pipe to go from the cat to the muffler. They would have to fit you with any fitting necessary for a HO2 sensor, if you have one between the cat and the muffler. brissy 07-20-2004, 08:20 AM I checked out a 2003 tacoma last night and I found out that the cat is a foot father away from the engin than my 2000. The sytem is suposed to fit my truck, but maybe it is for a later version of the 2000 tacoma. I bought mine in November. Maybe the spring 2000 tacomas fit. Oh well, I am taking your advise and having it customized. Thanks for your help brissy Tred 09-12-2004, 04:10 AM So, how is the Magna Flow doing?
