This may be a super dumb question....but is there such thing as washing your car so much that it's bad? Hehe I'm washing my car like every week or every other week at the most and I was wondering if that would strip my car of it's paint?

No, washing is safe, providing you are using safe soap and nothing abrasive to scrub. I wash mine weekly as well, as long as the soap and 'scrubber' are safe you are fine. If you want to know more about good soaps and other car care questions/products, check out the 'car detailing' section of the forum. It is a sub-section under 'cars in general'. There are some knowledgable people that are on quite frequently.

Sweet. I use Mothers so I think it should be okay, right? You know, I just realized that I never go to other sections of AF. I do all my researching/learning/questioning here. Hehe Thanks bro.

I would wash mine more often but it's a dark color and my garage is full of crap so it gets rain, bird crap, dead bugs, pollen, and all that good stuff. How much does a car cover cost? lol.

YEah i wash my car once a week, and i wax with eagle 1 nano wax every two weeks. the i use a red wax on the front of my car. And I KEEP THE CAR IN THE GARaGE AS MUCH AS I CAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. AND when i do take it out i put my car cover on it. People may laugh but my 1994 3000GT looks like it just came off the showroom floor. TAKE car of these cars guys they are very rare and just awsome.

I'm still confused at all the different waxes and cleaner waxes and pure "carnubu-something-or-rather" waxes. :sighs:

This should probably be in the detailing section you know... but since it's not :icon16:, whats the best wax to use in a short amount of time (2-4 hrs) that gives great results?
