what car?
96+ civic? 92-95 civic? either way you gotta remove teh steering wheel covers and the lower cover. then unhook the 2 brown connecters, the smaller one is on the fuse panel, the other larger connecter is connected above the fuse panel. if you are removing and replacing the switch, remove the 2 screws on the switch and cut zap strap. if you are replacing the unit, cut the wires off the switch (makes it easier to pull out), on the larger connector side now, pop the white holder out and push out the large white and black wires ( they will stay in the car so everything else will come out) now pull out the wires ( there is a brown zap strap on the steering colum so cut it off and dont bother to replace it when new is in, pain in the ass). now just install new one. before you put covers back on, put key in and make sure you can start the car. if it doesnt check to make sure everything is hooked up. hope that helps. its pretty simple, i do about 3-4 a week with a honda recall on right now.
