advise on where to get a few thingsdrock59 07-17-2004, 11:08 PM I am thinking about getting some projector headlights but the only place i really know where to get them is ebay. I dont feel comfortable getting them there, because they kind of seem like peices of shit and dont state what type of bulb, etc. Any ideas?? same question for some PIAA GTX H4 bulbs? Also, i have a 97 civic ex silver and am thinking of getting some rims. suggestions on where to look for rims and/ or what folks think would be good. wheel1856 07-18-2004, 12:44 PM got to Barnes and Nobles, Borders, local book and smoke shop pick up a copy of Sport Compact Car, Import Tuner, Honda Tuning, etc. There are TONS of product dealers in there....TONS, and about 99% of them have a web address and on-line pricing/buying. here's a few to get you started: www.coximports.com www.summitracing.com www.treaddepot.com (wheel and tire packages, low cost) I don't really know any specific websites, typically I just do a google search and look for the best price on the product I want. You can always make a trip down to your local speed shop or autoparts store as well...but you'll likely pay a but-load more there. drock59 07-19-2004, 06:25 PM thanks Ace$nyper 07-19-2004, 08:19 PM got to Barnes and Nobles, Borders, local book and smoke shop pick up a copy of Sport Compact Car, Import Tuner, Honda Tuning, etc. There are TONS of product dealers in there....TONS, and about 99% of them have a web address and on-line pricing/buying. I think you mean those mags are 99% ads hehe wheel1856 07-20-2004, 08:51 AM not necessarily, I once saw 2 articles in Import Tuner. :naughty: too true :lol2: drock59 07-20-2004, 11:54 PM thanks for the replies!!! So i am an ebay addict but all the stuff on there seems like crap. Kind of the old, " too good to be true." Any thoughts on this? DZNZ 07-21-2004, 10:50 AM To me, ebay has some sweet deals. Like, I have bought several products from tnt performance on ebay and saved at least half price. I bought tail lights, throttle body spacer, nerf bars, emblems, etc. Never had a problem. Just my opinion. Always check the ratings, though! Peace, DZNZ wheel1856 07-22-2004, 12:53 PM True that, as far as e-bay is concerned, it's a great place to get odds and ends, like DZNZ is talking about...but I wouldn't buy a motor or something major that can cause the car not to work. taillights and accessories, IMO and in other opinions I've heard are a relatively safe buy from e-bay - hard to junk those up, not too expensive, and don't necessarily prevent the car from working as far as major components are concerned I would stick to brand names from dealers, or people you can hunt down :) DZNZ 07-26-2004, 09:59 AM Good point wheel1856. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
