95 park avenue cranks but won't run/startMelvon white 07-16-2004, 01:10 PM Hello My 1995 PA stoped running and will not start. I have removed the 6 plug wires (2 Two at a time )and there is good fire on the coils. I checked the timing chain by visual inspection and it is fine. There seems to be good fuel pressure but I don't have a gauge. And the injector plugs pulse out approx 2 volts dc when cranking the engine. ( using a multimeter ) What am I overlooking??? Joe. itspaid4 07-17-2004, 10:17 PM I just had a similiar problem on my 88 park avenue. I had spark and fuel pressure, but using a noid light on the injectors, I found only the number 1 cylinder injector was pulsing in time-the problem was the crank position sensor was off about .010 of gap ( I had changed it chasing a different problem). Have you checked all injectors to see if they are pulsing? you can also get your ignition module and coil checked at most auto parts stores for free- maybe the spark is not hot enough to start. I have heard of some module and coils failing the test and they were still not the problem though. Bottom line though-if you have spark and fuel in each cylinder-then its timing. You checked your timing gears and chain so then it could be the crank sensor or the ECM. good luck vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
