Hi I've read some of the other Ignition problem threads...however
I cant get my wife's 93 camry (2.2L 5fse) to start. Heres the deal, I've got compression, I've got fuel to the cylinders, I've got very week spark and no start, engine turns over but will not fire.
I replaced the rotor (couldn't get a cap last night), plugs and wires. still the same...
She blew a hole in her upper radiator hose and soaked the distributor.... but after replaceing the hose the car fired right up and ran like a champ, we parked it at home and it would not start the next morning...
I'm thinking the coil got soaked / fried... but its still putting out spark (however week)
any ideas?

If you look at the Ign. coil take off the right nut & pull the Condensor lead off, check it for a short with an Ohm meter... You can also Ohm the ign. coil as well but don't know the readings you should get... I do know that there shouldn't ba any resistance from the 2 coil terminals & ground of the Dist... Hope this helps.. Bob

I put on a new distributor cap and it fired right up...
there were some other problems I ran into but at least it started
