Boost controller idea

I just had this idea and wasn't sure if it was possible. With the AEM EMS it has a built in VTEC Controller. It also has a built in boost controller. Now my idea was if you could run a low amount of boost for everyday normal driving but once VTEC kicks in if you could possibly have a higher boost setting kick in. When the engine goes into VTEC would be the point at which the extra psi kicks in. So you have better gas mileage because you wouldn't be in VTEC and you wouldn't be under the full amount of possible boost. Then when VTEC kicks in your under the full amount of boost and in VTEC.
Another thought is that once you hit VTEC your higher boost setting stays on for a certain amount of time, so when you shift and your RPMs drop out of the VTEC Range you'll still be under full boost. Even if it's only for 8 seconds it would be enough to get back into VTEC and stay under full boost.
This idea might also help with traction when the turbo spools up.

You arn't in boost driving day to day anyways because you're low load part throttle. Having a boost increase mid gear is a bad idea because if you start spinning, hit your VTEC x-over point, then boost goes up, then you just spin even more.

off course you would have to have some trial and error but once you got it right you might even be able to eliminate a lot of the wheel spin.

Gear dependant boost works just fine for that, and you don't have to worry about starting to spin, then hitting the boost changeover point and just inducing more tire spin.
